You may have seen the media reports about our exciting new venture – a first-of-a-kind wine emporium dedicated to the wines of Stellenbosch. At the Simon Wine Emporium, in association with Stellenbosch Wine Routes, your guests can now purchase the very best our region has to offer in one place online – at cellar door prices.

The online wine emporium showcases 145 top wines from 73 Stellenbosch Wine Routes member estates – the portfolio has been curated by an expert committee to reflect the gamut of the region’s wines and cultivars. The wines on offer represent all five sub-routes of the Stellenbosch Winelands, and include the ‘old vine’ wines administered by the Old Vine Project. We’re also providing access to a collection of iconic wines of the region, and rare, vintage wines mostly unavailable elsewhere.

For wine aficionados who prefer a particular cultivar, but would like to compare the offerings of different wine estates, the expert panel has curated cases of six delectable wines each – across the five sub-routes. Buyers can also put together their own six-bottle cases from the Simon Wine Emporium portfolio, consisting of a particular cultivar across the five sub-routes, or a mix of cultivars from different wine estates – at no extra cost.

Visitors to Stellenbosch who want to taste some of the excellent wines on sale, can visit the ‘home’ of the Simon Wine Emporium – the Simon Wine Bar in the historic De Warenmarkt complex on the corner of Van Ryneveld and Plein streets. Specially curated tastings will be hosted according to cultivars or themes, or visitors can put together their own list for tasting. Sommeliers will be on hand to provide information and digital tasting notes.

Your guests who wish to relive their unique Stellenbosch experience by stocking up their cellars back home, need look no further than the Simon Wine Emporium. Visitors to the Simon Wine Bar will be assisted in placing their orders online right away. Delivery will take place within one to two days in the Western Cape, and three to four days in the rest of South Africa. International deliveries will soon be facilitated.
